Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CloudBase Web Solutions (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use PicSift, including the PicSift mobile application and related features, services, subscriptions, and purchases (collectively, the “App”).
PicSift is designed to help you review, organize, and clean up photos and videos on your device.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. What Data We Access
Depending on how you use the App, PicSift may access or process certain information on your device, including:
- photos and videos in your photo library, if you grant photo library permission;
- photo and video metadata available through Apple’s Photos framework, such as creation date, media type, duration, file size, favorite status, or other system-provided attributes;
- review decisions you make in the App, such as kept, to delete, or unreviewed status;
- app settings, preferences, feature usage state, and progress information;
- purchase entitlement status, such as whether you have access to PicSift Pro.
The App does not require you to create an account.
We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location data, or contact lists unless you voluntarily provide that information when contacting us for support.
2. Photo Library Access
PicSift may request access to your photo library so that it can display your photos and videos, help you review them, organize review decisions, and perform cleanup-related actions.
You can choose whether to grant full photo library access, limited photo library access, or no access, depending on the options provided by iOS.
If you do not grant photo library access, some or all App features may not work.
You can change photo library permissions at any time in your device settings.
PicSift only accesses your photo library for app functionality that you choose to use.
3. Whether Photos/Videos Are Uploaded
PicSift is designed to process your photos and videos locally on your device.
We do not upload your photos or videos to our own servers for processing.
We do not sell your photos or videos.
We do not use your photos or videos to train machine learning models.
We do not share your photos or videos with advertisers.
Some system-level behavior may be controlled by Apple, iOS, iCloud Photos, or other services configured on your device. For example, if you use iCloud Photos, your photo library may already sync through Apple’s services according to your Apple account and iCloud settings. That syncing is controlled by Apple, not by PicSift.
4. Analytics / Crash Logs, if used
We may use analytics or crash reporting tools to understand how the App is used, diagnose problems, improve performance, and fix bugs.
Analytics and crash logs may include information such as:
- device model;
- iOS version;
- App version;
- region or language settings;
- feature usage events;
- session information;
- crash reports;
- performance diagnostics.
Analytics and crash logs are used to improve the App and are not intended to identify you personally.
We do not use analytics or crash logs to collect the contents of your photos or videos.
If we use third-party analytics or crash reporting services, those services may process diagnostic or usage information according to their own privacy policies.
5. Purchase Data
PicSift Pro purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple through the App Store.
We do not directly receive or store your full payment card details.
The App may receive purchase-related information from Apple or Apple’s StoreKit framework, such as:
- whether you have an active subscription;
- whether you have purchased a lifetime unlock;
- product identifier;
- transaction status;
- subscription renewal or expiration status;
- refund or revocation status, where available.
We use this information to unlock paid features, manage access to PicSift Pro, restore purchases, and prevent unauthorized access to paid functionality.
Apple’s handling of payment and App Store account information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and App Store terms.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services or platform services to operate, improve, or support certain functionality.
These may include:
- Apple App Store and StoreKit for purchases, subscriptions, purchase restoration, refunds, and entitlement status;
- Apple Photos framework for photo library access;
- Apple iCloud or iOS system services, depending on your device settings;
- analytics or crash reporting services, if enabled;
- customer support tools, if you contact us for support.
Third-party services may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
We do not control Apple’s App Store, iCloud, device-level privacy settings, or other third-party services.
7. Data Retention
PicSift stores app-related data only as needed to provide App functionality, maintain your preferences, track review progress, and manage access to paid features.
Most App data is intended to remain on your device, such as review status, preferences, and local progress information.
If you delete the App, locally stored App data may be deleted from your device, subject to iOS behavior and any device backups.
Purchase records are handled by Apple and may remain available through your Apple ID purchase history according to Apple’s policies.
If you contact us for support, we may retain your message and contact information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
8. User Choices
You have control over several privacy-related choices:
- You can grant, limit, or revoke photo library access in iOS Settings.
- You can use iOS limited photo library access if you do not want to grant access to your full library.
- You can delete the App to remove locally stored App data, subject to iOS behavior.
- You can manage subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.
- You can request App Store refunds through Apple.
- You can contact us to ask privacy-related questions.
If analytics or crash reporting tools provide opt-out settings, we may make those options available in the App or rely on device-level privacy settings where applicable.
Revoking permissions or disabling certain data access may limit App functionality.
